Description
Hi! This here is my first lame try at creating some kind of tutorial, so please forgive me if it's rather lacking. >,> If you have any tips or queries, please feell free to comment!
It's just a look at how I go about painting hair generally. Requested by my buddy .
Bare in mind that this was done rather quickly - a completed image will generally use the above steps, with more repeated layers perhaps, and greater clean-up and detailing. Also, the canvas size I use is rather huge (3508 by 4961), so be sure to use the brush sizes I've quoted only as a guide!
I use Photoshop Elements 3, but hopefully the method is applicable to most raster-graphics software you can paint in (i.e. GIMP, Painter, etc.)
Sped-up video of the painting process available here:
[link]
(Time taken was 11 minutes 36 seconds, reduced to 3:56)
'Final' image (it's really very unfinished heh,): [link]
Thanks for viewing, and let me know what you think!
