Dawn's Orchid

The title comes from Shula's (provisional) Chinese name, which is 李曙蘭, Lǐ Shǔ Lán in Mandarin; her given name's characters mean "Daybreak" and "Orchid". Shula also means flame in Arabic. And Lee is just your typical Asian surname, hahah. (Means "plum", but that's irrelevant to the plot. )

I don't usually watermark my artwork, but since this is a modified version of what'll appear in a commercial project, some form of protection against art theft was justified.

I won't announce what exactly it's for since it's still half a month away at least from being ready. All I can say is, it's been a great joy to draw my own character at the request of someone else, and for something that with any luck will be bought and will be enjoyed by many others.

And it's been a god damn while too! Two and a half years since my last full Shula picture, so many abandoned WIPs through the years. ;__;
